SYNOPSIS

The ridge of high is spreading from the north-west while a cyclonic field is filling up over the Ionian Sea and South Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE, in the open NW wind 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 30, in the afternoon and at night gradually diminishing to 5-15 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open and in the Velebit Channel in the beginning 3-4. Visibility 10-30 km. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic mostly clear, elsewhere gradual clearing up while in the South Adriatic still in the beginning a risk of rain or a brief shower with thunder.
