IN THE OPEN SEA LOCAL GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS, DIMINISHING DURING THE NIGHT. IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-50 KNOTS. IN THE OPEN SEA A LITTLE RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.
SYNOPSIS
A ridge of high pressure from the European land lies over the Adriatic and a low pressure system over the Central Mediterranean.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
SE and E winds 6-16, in the open sea up to 24 knots. In the North Adriatic NE and E winds 8-18, in the Velebit Channel NE up to 26 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear. Toward the open sea variably cloudy with a risk of rain, showers and thunder in places.

Moderate to strong SE winds diminishing and turning along the coast to NE. In the North Adriatic NE winds moderate to fresh, in the Velebit Channel up to strong. Sea slight, in the open up to moderate. Mostly clear, but in the open variably cloudy.
