SYNOPSIS

A low is deepening over the Central Mediterranean and it is extending a trough with frontal system toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and E winds 15-30, in the open of the Central and South Adriatic up to 40 knots. In the North, in the evening in a part of the Central Adriatic as well, NE winds 15-25, in the Velebit Channel up to 30 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open 5-6. Visibility 5-15 km. Overcast with rain, showers and thunder.

In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic strong and gale force SE and E winds, diminishing a little through the night. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force NE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the open rough and very rough. Overcast with rain, showers and thunder.
