IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AND IN NORTHERN DALMATIA THIS MORNING A RISK OF GUSTS OF NE, IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AT FIRST OF NW WINDS, 30-40 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel and in northern Dalmatia this morning up to 22, turning in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic till the end of the day to SE, in places along the coast to E winds 6-16 knots. In the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic this morning still NW winds 6-16, in places at first up to 22 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic, and in the Velebit Channel at first, still 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the morning in the South Adriatic fair, and in the extreme south cloudy with a little rain.

Mostly clear. Gradual cloud increase, firstly in the northern part of the Adriatic. Light to moderate SE, along the coast E winds as well, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the first part of the night NE winds. Sea smooth or slight.
