GUSTS OF SE WINDS STRENGTHENING AROUND MIDDAY TO 35-40, IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT UP TO 55 KNOTS. IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC IN THE AFTERNOON AND IN THE EVENING GUSTS OF NE WINDS STRENGTHENING TO 35-50, DURING THE NIGHT TO 50-90 KNOTS. SEA IN THE OPEN DURING THE NIGHT 4-5, BEFORE THE MORNING 5-6.

SYNOPSIS

A low over the western Mediterranean is deepening and it is extending toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 6-16, strengthening around midday to 12-22, in the South Adriatic during the night 15-30 knots. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the afternoon and in the evening SE winds turning to NE and strengthening to 16-36 knots. Sea 2-3, late in the day 3-4. Visibility 10-30 km. Heavier cloud increase all over the Adriatic, scattered rain, mainly in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic, in the evening heavier rain is possible all along the Adriatic. Air temperatures with no change, then becoming colder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Overcast with rain, in places heavier, and along the coast of the North Adriatic a risk of wind drifted snow. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic gale force NE winds with storm force gusts, in the South Adriatic near gale force SE winds. Sea in the open increasing to rough, before the morning up to very rough.
