SYNOPSIS

A Mediterranean low is extending its trough towards the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and E winds, 10-20 knots, increasing to 15-25 knots, in the open sea up to 30. In the extreme North and in Kvarner NE and E winds, 5-15 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing to 3-4, in the afternoon in the open sea briefly possibly 5. Visibility 10-20 km. Increase of cloudiness, locally rain.

Moderate to very strong SE winds diminishing. In the North Adriatic, later gradually also elsewhere, moderate to fresh NE winds, in the Velebit Channel up to strong. Sea slight to moderate. Cloudy, locally rain, a risk of thunder showers, mainly in the South Adriatic.
