SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high is spreading from the north-east over the Adriatic while a low centred over the Ionian Sea is filling up.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in the extreme south of the Adriatic NE wind 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 28 knots, gradually diminishing to 8-18 knots. In the Central and in a part of the South Adriatic W and NW winds while at night NE wind 5-15 knots. Sea 2-3, still in the beginning locally in the North and in the extreme south of the Adriatic 4. Visibility 10-20 km. In the South Adriatic fair to mainly cloudy, elsewhere mainly clear while at night cloud increase. In the extreme south of the Adriatic scattered rain.

Variably or mainly cloudy with scattered rain. SE wind intensifying to moderate, in the afternoon and evening locally also strong. Sea smooth to slight, towards the end of the day in the open moderate. A little higher night and morning air temperatures while tomorrow a little lower daily ones.
