SYNOPSIS

The trough with frontal disturbance is shifting northwards of the Adriatic and the low centred over the Ionian Sea is shifting towards the north-east while intensifying of a ridge of high is expected from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 8-18 knots, NE wind from the North Adriatic will spread over the whole Adriatic and intensify to 15-30, in the Velebit Channel up to 40 knots. Sea intensifying to 3-4, locally in the open 5. Visibility 10-20 km. Fair to mainly cloudy, rain in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic, still in the beginning also in the North Adriatic. In the South Adriatic a little risk of a shower and thunder.

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic Moderate clearing up, elsewhere still in some places rain and showers while towards midday partial clearing up. Strong to gale force NE wind, diminishing a little. Sea slight and moderate, in the open also rough.
