IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC GUSTS OF NE and E WINDS 35-55, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL, TONIGHT IN THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AS WELL, OF NE WINDS UP TO 75 KNOTS. IN THE OPEN SEA OF THE SOUTH ADRIATIC DURING THE FORENOON GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS AND SEA IN THE OPEN UP TO 5.

A low with frontal disturbance is shifting across the Adriatic further southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and E winds 15-28, in the Velebit Channel, in the evening in the Central Adriatic as well, NE up to 38 knots. In the South, during the forenoon in the open of southern Dalmatia, SE winds 12-28, gradually diminishing and turning in the evening to NE, toward the Strait of Otranto briefly to NW winds as well, 10-20 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open 4-5. Visibility 5-15 km. Overcast with occasional rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, but precipitation ceasing and cloud thinning and breaking up with some sunny spells developing firstly in the North, till the evening in a part of the Central Adriatic as well. Colder.
