A trough with frontal disturbance is shifting north of the Adriatic southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the north.WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
In the North Adriatic NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel at first up to 28 knots, rapidly dying away. Elsewhere SW and W, toward the open sea NW 4-14, during the night NE 8-18 knots. Sea 2-3, in the Velebit Channel at first 3-4, calming in the North Adriatic toward the end of the day to 1-2. Visibility 10-20 km. Fine or fair, along the coast of the South and Central Adriatic in the afternoon variable amounts of cloud and a little risk of a little rain or brief isolated rain showers and thunder.
