IN THE NORTH, FROM MIDDAY IN THE CENTRAL, AND DURING THE NIGHT IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 65 KNOTS. SEA POSSIBLY 4-5 IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow trough with frontal disturbance is gradually shifting across the Adriatic southeastwards.

In the North, from midday in the Central Adriatic as well, NE winds strengthening to 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 34 knots. In the South Adriatic, in the morning in a part of the Central, SE winds 6-16, in the extreme south up to 22 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North, from midday in the Central Adriatic as well, increasing to 3-4, in the North Adriatic late in the day possibly 4-5, mainly in the open. Visibility 10-20, but in places at first still around 4 km due to mist. Variably cloudy with scattered rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, firstly in the northern part of the Adriatic, and till the end of the day elsewhere as well.

Variably cloudy with scattered rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder. Clearing is expected in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic from the middle of the night. In the North and Central, from the middle of the night in the South Adriatic, moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel at first up to near gale force NE winds. In the South Adriatic today still light to moderate SE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the North Adriatic possibly up to rough. Significantly colder with NE winds.
