IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC MOST OF THE DAY A RISK OF GUSTS OF SE and SW WINDS 30-40 KNOTS. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT, AND IN THE CENTRAL AROUND THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-50 KNOTS. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.SYNOPSIS
A trough with frontal disturbance is shifting across the Adriatic further southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the northwest.WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
SE, in places SW winds, 10-20, diminishing to 6-16, firstly in the northern part of the Adriatic, but in the extreme south of the Adriatic most of the day up to 22 knots. Sea gradually calming to 2-3. Visibility 10-20, but in places reduced to 2-4 km due to rain or mist. Variably cloudy with rain, showers and thunder. Precipitation could be more abundant in places. Variably cloudy with rain, showers and thunder. Partial clearing is expected from the middle of the night, firstly in the northern part of the Adriatic. Light to moderate SE and SW, in the North, from the middle of the night in the Central Adriatic as well, turning to moderate to strong NE, in the South Adriatic to light to fresh NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the North, tomorrow in the Central Adriatic as well, up to moderate. A little colder with NE winds.
