SYNOPSIS

A low over the Tyrrhenian Sea is slowly shifting southwards, while a ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 6-16 knots. In places of the North, during the night of the South Adriatic as well, NE winds 12-24 knots, in the Velebit Channel up to 34 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North Adriatic possibly up to 4. Visibility 20 km. Clearing.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear. Light to moderate NE, in places of the South and Central Adriatic NW winds as well. In the North and South Adriatic NE winds up to strong in places, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force. Winds will gradually diminish tomorrow during the forenoon. Sea smooth or slight, in the North and South Adriatic possibly up to moderate, calming to smooth.
