A low centred over Sicily is shifting toward the Ionian Sea.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 6-14, in places of the North and South Adriatic NE up to 18, in the Velebit Channel up to 28 knots, diminishing during the forenoon. In the afternoon mainly SW and NW winds 4-12, in the South Adriatic NW up to 16 knots. Sea 1-2, in the South, this morning still in the North Adriatic as well, up to 3. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic becoming variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder in the afternoon.
