A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the north.WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
In the North Adriatic NE and NW, west of Istria SW winds, 6-16 knots. In the Velebit Channel at first still NE winds up to 24 knots, diminishing till the end of the day. In the Central and South Adriatic NE, toward the open sea NW winds, 14-28, diminishing along the coast till the end of the day and in the open during the night to 8-18 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open 3-4, in the extreme south of the Adriatic in the evening possibly up to 5, calming in the North Adriatic during the night to 1-2. Visibility 20 km. Mostly clear. In the North Adriatic calm or light variable winds. In the open of the Central and South Adriatic moderate, at first up to fresh NW, and along the coast light to moderate NE winds, gradually diminishing. Sea smooth, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic slight, but toward the open during the night possibly up to moderate. Daily air temperatures a little warmer.
