SYNOPSIS

A trough with cold front has approached the Adriatic from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 6-16, in the North and in the South Adriatic at first possibly up to 20 knots, mainly in the open sea, diminishing in the North Adriatic to 4-8 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the North, but possibly in the rest of the Adriatic as well, particularly along the coast around midday and in the afternoon.

Variably or mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly from the middle of the night. Light to moderate NW, in the North Adriatic NE winds, strengthening later on to moderate and strong. Sea smooth or slight, in the North Adriatic up to moderate tomorrow.
