FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT IN THE NORTH, THEN ALSO IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC GUSTS OF NE WIND 35-50, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 70 KNOTS. TOWARDS THE END OF THE DAY IN THE NORTH, TOMORROW ALSO IN THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC THUNDERSTORMS IN PLACES.
SYNOPSIS
A shallow trough with cold front is approaching from the north-west and tonight and tomorrow is slowly shifting over the Adriatic towards the south-east.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
SE, locally in the open also SW wind 6-16, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 20 knots. At night in the North Adriatic turning to NE wind 12-26, in the Velebit Channel up to 36 knots. Sea 2-3, at night in the North Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear. Towards the end of the day in the North Adriatic with more intense cloud increase in places showers with thunder.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS
Variably cloudy, scattered rain or showers with thunder. In southern part of the Adriatic mostly clear. Moderate to strong NE wind, in the Velebit Channel also of gale force, at night and in the morning spreading also to a part of the Central Adriatic. In the rest of the Adriatic mostly light to moderate SE wind. Sea smooth to slight, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic locally moderate.
