SYNOPSIS

A field of lowered air pressure lies over the Adriatic, while a frontal disturbance is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and SW winds 8-16, in the afternoon in the extreme south, toward the Strait of Otranto, up to 20 knots, diminishing in the evening. In the North, till the end of the day in a part of the Central Adriatic as well, NW winds 8-16 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 4 km due to rain. Variably or mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Air temperatures will drop.
