LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS STILL POSSIBLE IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC. GUSTS OF NE WINDS EXPECTED IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING, REACHING 35-45 KNOTS.
SYNOPSIS
A shallow trough over the North Adriatic is gradually filling up, while a ridge of high pressure will intensify from the north.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
SE winds 6-16 knots, diminishing and dying away during the day. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic from the end of the day NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel up to 22 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic late in the day calming to 1-2. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic still variably cloudy with a risk of rain or isolated rain showers with thunder.
