SYNOPSIS
A frontal system is expected to shift across the Adriatic southeastwards, giving way to a ridge of high pressure to intensify from the west.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
SE and SW winds 6-16, strengthening to 12-24 knots and gradually turning from the middle of the day to NW, firstly in the North Adriatic. Sea 2-3, increasing in the open to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy and cooler with rain, showers and thunder in places.

Moderate to strong NW winds gradually diminishing. In the North Adriatic moderate to fresh NE winds. Sea slight, in the open up to moderate. Variably cloudy with rain, showers and thunder in places.
