IN THE SOUTH, IN THE AFTERNOON IN THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC AS WELL, A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL, DURING THE NIGHT IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-55, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 70 KNOTS.SYNOPSIS
A cold front is shifting across the Adriatic further eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the northwest.WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 14-28, in the Velebit Channel up to 36 knots. In the rest of the Adriatic NW, only in places along the coast NE winds, 6-16, strengthening all along the Adriatic late in the day and during the night to 14-28 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open and in the Velebit Channel 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Fair or mainly cloudy with isolated rain showers and thunder in the Central and South Adriatic. Clearing in the North, in the evening partly in the Central Adriatic as well. Air temperatures significantly lower.WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS
Moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force, and in the Velebit Channel up to gale force NE winds. Sea slight and moderate. Further clearing in Dalmatia, but isolated rain showers with thunder still in the South Adriatic.
