IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40, DURING THE NIGHT UP TO 50 KNOTS. IN THE EXTREME NORTH OF THE ADRIATIC A RISK OF FOG PATCHES IN THE MORNING.
SYNOPSIS
A field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
NW winds 8-18, in the extreme north of the Adriatic 4-12 knots. Along the coast in the morning NE winds 4-12, and again during the night 6-16 knots. In the Velebit Channel NE winds 10-20, easing a little around midday and strengthening again in the evening, in places up to 24 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places 2-4 km due to mist, and in the extreme north of the Adriatic in the morning possibly less than 1 km due to fog. Mostly clear.

Light to moderate, in the Velebit Channel up to strong NE, and toward the open sea mainly moderate NW winds. Sea smooth or slight. Mostly clear.
