LOCAL GUSTS OF S and SW WINDS 35-45, IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LATE IN THE DAY UP TO 55 KNOTS. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC FROM MIDDAY LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-60, IN PLACES UP TO 70 KNOTS. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS AND SEA IN THE OPEN UP TO 5 LATE IN THE DAY.

SYNOPSIS

A low is expected to generate over the North Adriatic and to shift toward the Central.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

S and SW winds 14-32, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic late in the day up to 38 knots. In the North Adriatic around midday wind turning to NE and gradually strengthening to 14-32, in places up to 38 knots, spreading in the evening to a part of the Central Adriatic. Sea 3-4, in the open late in the day 4-5. Visibility 5-15 km. Overcast with scattered rain, while heavier showers with thunder expected toward the end of the day. Air temperatures will drop significantly in the northern part of the Adriatic.
