IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WIND AT NIGHT INTENSIFYING TO 35-60, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL IN THE MORNING UP TO 80 KNOTS. IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING GUSTS OF NW WIND, INITIALLY TOWARDS THE STRAIT OF OTRANTO OF SE WIND 35-45 KNOTS. IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC A RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS.SYNOPSIS
The low over the Ionian Sea and the South Adriatic is slowly filling up and shifting eastwards. Deepening of a low over the Ligurian Sea is expected.WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE and NW winds 6-14 knots, towards the end of the day and at night NE wind intensifying to 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 32 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic NW wind 12-26 knots, diminishing gradually during the night. Towards Otranto still initially SE wind 12-28 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South, at night also in the North Adriatic intensifying 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km.
