SYNOPSIS

A strong ridge of high pressure is extending from the northwest toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 32, and in the open of the Central Adriatic NW winds 8-16 knots. Sea 2-3, in the Velebit Channel and in the northern part of the open sea of the Central Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 20-30 km. Mostly clear, but in the North, in the afternoon in the South Adriatic as well, variably cloudy. Air temperatures slightly lower.

Mostly clear. Moderate to strong NE, in the open of the North and Central Adriatic moderate NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the northern part of the open sea of the Central, and in the open of the South Adriatic, toward the Strait of Otranto, up to moderate.
