SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 4-12, strengthening late in the day to 6-16 knots, except west of Istria. Along the coast in the morning and again during the night calm or NE winds 4-12 knots. Sea 1-2, increasing in the open of the Central and South Adriatic late in the day to 2-3. Visibility above 20 km, but in the North Adriatic reduced to around 5 km due to mist, in places in the evening even to less than 1 km due to fog. Mostly clear. Cloud increase is expected in the afternoon, firstly in the North Adriatic. No significant change in air temperatures.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate NW, along the coast calm or light NE winds. Sea smooth, in the open of the Central and South Adriatic up to slight. Variably cloudy. A risk of fog in the northern part of the Adriatic.
