IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF W and NW, IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC OF SW WINDS, 35-55 KNOTS, EASING DURING THE NIGHT. SEA LOCALLY IN THE AFTERNOON UP TO 5. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.
SYNOPSIS
A low is rapidly shifting across the Adriatic further eastwards.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
In the North and Central Adriatic W and NW winds 15-25, in places up to 30 knots, easing till the end of the day. In the South Adriatic SW winds 15-25, in places up to 30 knots, easing late in the afternoon and turning till the end of the day to NW. Sea 2-3, in the open 3-4, locally in the afternoon up to 5. Visibility 10-20 km. Overcast with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. No significant change in air temperatures.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS
End of precipitation and cloud thinning and breaking up. In the South Adriatic at first still rain in places. Moderate to fresh NW winds, easing in the morning and turning in the North Adriatic to SW. Sea smooth or slight.
