A field of low pressure will stay over the Adriatic, while a frontal system is shifting across the southern part of the Adriatic further southeastwards, but a new one is expected from the northwest during the night.WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
In the North and Central Adriatic mainly SW, turning briefly only in places to NW and NE winds, 4-14 knots. In the South, at first still in a part of the Central Adriatic as well, SE winds 18-34, gradually easing and turning to SW 10-20 knots, firstly in the northern part and in the extreme south from the middle of the night. Sea 2-3, in the South, at first in a part of the Central Adriatic, 4-5, calming late in the day to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the South and in a part of the Central, and again in the North Adriatic during the night.WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS
Light to moderate, along the coast SE and E, in the open sea SW winds. Sea smooth or slight. In the extreme south of the Adriatic, toward the Strait of Otranto, at firsts still up to near gale force SE winds and sea moderate and rough. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.
