SYNOPSIS

A low centred south of Italy is extending a trough over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds strengthening to 12-26, in the North Adriatic up to 30, and in the Velebit Channel up to 40 knots. Sea 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Gradual cloud increase, firstly in the South Adriatic, where rain is likely toward the end of the day, mainly in the open sea.

Mainly cloudy. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic scattered rain, mainly in the open sea. Moderate to near gale force, in the North Adriatic up to gale, and in the Velebit Channel up to strong gale force NE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the North Adriatic possibly up to rough.
