The Adriatic region is between the northern Europe high and the Ionian sea low.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 12-24, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic 16-32, in the Velebit Channel up to 45 knots. Sea 3-4, locally in the North Adriatic 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with a little rain in places, mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic, and in the Velebit Channel, while isolated rain showers with thunder are likely in the extreme south of the Adriatic.

Moderate to near gale force, in the Velebit Channel up to gale force NE winds. Sea slight and moderate, in the North Adriatic up to rough. Variably cloudy with a little rain in places, mainly in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic, and in the Velebit Channel at first. Clearing is expected in the North, then in a part of the Central Adriatic as well.
