A ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the northwest toward the Adriatic, while a trough over southern Italy is slowly filling up.WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 10-20, in places up to 24, and in the Velebit Channel up to 28, and in the afternoon NW and NE winds 4-12, in the Velebit Channel NE at first still up to 20 knots. In the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic SE and E winds 10-20, along the coast NE 6-16, turning around midday to SW winds 4-12 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open 3-4, along the coast in the afternoon 1-2, in the open 2-3, only in the open of the southern part still 3-4. Visibility above 20 km. In the morning variably cloudy, then sunny and warmer.
