IN THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC TODAY STILL GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS. IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS.
SYNOPSIS
A field of low pressure over the central Mediterranean is deepening, while a field of high pressure from northern Europe will intensify during the night.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
SE winds 8-18, in the Central and South Adriatic up to 22, in places up to 28, easing late in the day and during the night to 6-16, and turning along the coast to NE and E 4-12, in the North Adriatic to NE 8-16, and in the Velebit Channel up to 22 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open today still 3-4. Visibility 10-20, but in places around 5 km due to mist. Variably cloudy.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS
Light to moderate SE, along the coast light NE and E winds. In the North Adriatic NE winds moderate, in the Velebit Channel up to strong. Sea slight, gradually calming, except in the Velebit Channel. Mostly clear. Air temperatures a little lower.
