IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC A RISK OF GUSTS OF SE WINDS UP TO 35, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AND NORTH OF ISTRIA OF NE 30-40 KNOTS. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A weakened frontal disturbance will be shifting slowly across the Adriatic southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the South and Central Adriatic SE winds 12-22, easing in the Central to 4-12 knots. In the North Adriatic NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel and north of Istria up to 22 knots. Sea 2-3, only locally possibly up to 4. Visibility 10-20 km. Fair or mainly cloudy with scattered rain, particularly during the night, when isolated rain showers and thunder are also likely.

Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the South and Central Adriatic, and gradual clearing in the North Adriatic. In the North Adriatic moderate to strong NE winds, easing a little. Elsewhere light to moderate NE and NW, in the South Adriatic at first moderate to fresh SE winds. Sea smooth or slight, only locally in the North and South Adriatic moderate.
