SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal disturbance is approaching the Adriatic from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and SW winds 10-20, in the extreme south up to 25 knots, but easing in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic and till late in the day turning to NE winds. Sea 2-3, towards the open sea of the South Adriatic 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Heavier cloud increase with rain, isolated rain showers and thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Variably to mainly cloudy with rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, locally in the South and Central Adriatic with heavier precipitation. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong NE, elsewhere moderate to reinforced SE and SW winds, ceasing till noon. Sea smooth to slight, in the open of the South Adriatic towards the Strait of Otranto moderate. A little lower air temperatures.
