IN PLACES ALONG THE COAST THIS MORNING LOCAL GUSTS OF NE, TOWARD THE OPEN SEA OF THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC OF NW WINDS, 35-50 KNOTS, EASING LATE IN THE DAY.

SYNOPSIS

A low with frontal system is shifting southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE, during the day all along the Adriatic NW winds 12-22, in places up to 25 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open 3-4. Visibility 20-30 km. Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic in the morning still variably cloudy with a risk of light scattered rain, then clearing is expected there as well. A little warmer.

Mostly clear. Along the coast light to moderate NE, toward the open sea NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South Adriatic, toward the Strait of Otranto, up to moderate.
