IN THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NW, IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC AT FIRST OF SW WINDS, 35-40 KNOTS, EASING TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal system is shifting from the Adriatic further eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is expected to intensify gradually from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW, in the South Adriatic at first SW winds as well, 8-18, locally toward the open of the South and Central Adriatic up to 24 knots. Toward the end of the day and during the night winds will gradually ease to 4-14, firstly in the North, only in the open of the South Adriatic still up to 18 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South Adriatic at first 3-4, calming in the North Adriatic during the night to 1-2. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers and thunder, but in the North and Central Adriatic late in the day and during the night end of precipitation and partial clearing.
