A CHANCE OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. DURING THE NIGHT LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AND IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC UP TO 50 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow trough is expected to shift across the Adriatic further eastwards and a ridge of high pressure to intensify from the west already during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 4-14, in places of the South and Central Adriatic in the afternoon up to 20 knots, gradually turning in the North Adriatic toward the end of the day to NE. Sea 1-2, gradually increasing to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Fine or fair with heavier cloud increase in places and with a chance of isolated thundery rain showers.

NW winds turning to moderate to strong NE. Sea mainly slight, in the open of the North and South Adriatic up to moderate. Gradual clearing, but still with a chance of isolated thundery rain showers at first.
