SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 6-16, strengthening in the South Adriatic up to 20, and in the North Adriatic mainly SW winds 4-12, easing in the evening and turning along the coast to NE 6-16, in the extreme south up to 24 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South Adriatic 3-4, calming during the night, except in the open of the extreme south of the Adriatic. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear and hot.

Along the coast light to moderate NE, in the open sea mainly light NW winds. Only in the extreme south of the Adriatic moderate to strong NE winds. Sea calm or smooth, in the South Adriatic up to slight, and in the open up to moderate. Mostly clear.
