IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS. ALONG THE COAST OF THE SOUTH ADRIATIC TODAY STILL A CHANCE OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

A ridge of the Azores high lies over the Adriatic.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS
NW and W winds 8-18, turning along the coast in the evening to NE 6-14, in the Velebit Channel up to 20 knots. Sea 2-3, locally in the open of the South Adriatic up to 4. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear and a little warmer. In the South Adriatic in the afternoon variably cloudy with a little chance of rain or isolated thundery rain showers along the coast.
