SYNOPSIS

A ridge of the Azores high has intensified toward the Adriatic from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Mainly NW and W, along the coast in the evening and during the night NE winds, 5-15, in the Velebit Channel NE during the night up to 18 knots. In the extreme south of the Adriatic and in the Strait of Otranto NW and NE winds 12-22 knots. Sea 1-2, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic 2-3, and in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to 4. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear.

Light to moderate NE and NW winds. In the extreme south of the Adriatic up to fresh NE winds, easing till the morning. Sea smooth or slight, in the extreme south of the Adriatic at first still up to moderate. Mostly clear.
