IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS ARROUND 35 KNOTS, DURING THE NIGHT AND IN THE MORNING INCREASING AGAIN UP TO 45 KNOTS. IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC A SMALL CHANSE OF THUNDER STORM.

A ridge of high is laying over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Winds mainly from NW and W, 4-10 knots, locally up to 14, in the evening along the coast turning to NE. In the Velebit Channel NE winds 6-14, locally up to 18 knots, in the evening increasing again to 10-20, locally up to 24 knots. Sea 1-2, in the open and in the Velebit Channel 2-3. Visibility 20 km. Light to moderate cloudy, in the South Adriatic a small chanse of thunder shower.

Light NW winds, along the coast light, just in places moderate NE winds, in the Velebit Channel up to strong. Sea calm, or smooth, just in the Velebit Channel and in the open sea up to moderate. Mostly clear, in the South Adriatic variably cloudy with a chanse of a brief shower, or thunder.
