A CHANCE OF LOCAL GUSTS OF NE, IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT OF NW WINDS, 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 60 KNOTS, EASING TOMORROW. IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH ADRIATIC AT FIRST STILL A CHANCE OF GUSTS OF SE WINDS 30-40 KNOTS. IN THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH ADRIATIC SEA POSSIBLY 4-5.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow low with frontal disturbance is shifting from the South Adriatic further eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in the greater part of the Central Adriatic NE winds strengthening to 12-24, in the Velebit Channel late in the day and during the night up to 32 knots. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE and E winds 10-20, toward the open NW 12-24, and in the open briefly up to 32 knots. Sea increasing to 3-4, in the open of the South Adriatic possibly 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. In the South and Central Adriatic mainly cloudy with rrain, showers and thunder, in the southern part with a chance of more abundant precipitation. Clearing in the North, toward the end of the day in the Central, and late in the night in the South Adriatic.

Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic in the morning moderate cloud increase. Moderate to strong NE, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic NW winds, easing in the morning to light to moderate. Sea slight and moderate, gradually calming in the morning to smooth and slight.
