SYNOPSIS

A shallow low with its centre over the Tyrrhenian sea is shifting towards the Central and South Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE winds 12-24, in the Velebit Channel up to 30 knots. Elsewhere SE and E winds 8-16 knots. Sea 2-3, towards the open sea and in the Velebit Channel 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably to mainly cloudy, in places rain and showers with thunder, particularly in the South Adriatic (locally with abundant precipitation) and in a part of the Central Adriatic.

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong NE wind, elsewhere moderate SW and NW winds, diminishing in the course of the morning. Sea smooth to slight, locally in the North Adriatic moderate. Variably to mainly cloudy, in places rain and showers with thunder, mainly in the South Adriatic. A little lower air temperatures.
