SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal disturbance is approaching the Adriatic from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or variable winds 4-10, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic NW 4-14 knots. Toward the end of the day SE winds strengthening to 6-16 knots. Sea 1-2, increasing during the night to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic toward the end of the day and in a part of the Central later on, cloud increase with rain, during the night with a chance of thundery rain showers.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central, then in the rest of the Adriatic, mainly cloudy with rain and with a chance of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the northern part. SE winds strengthening to moderate and fresh, only in places up to strong, easing a little west and north of Istria in the morning and turning to SW. Sea gradually increasing to slight and moderate.
