SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic, while a low over the Ionian Sea is filling up.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 14-30, in the Velebit Channel up to 38, gradually easing to 10-20, firstly in the North, till the evening in the Central Adriatic, and only in places still up to 24 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open of southern part 4-5, calming toward the end of the day in the North and Central Adriatic to 2-3. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear and a little colder, but in the extreme south of the Adriatic still variably cloudy with a chance of rain.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

NE winds moderate, in places up to strong, and in the South Adriatic still up to near gale force in the first part of the night, turning in the open sea to N and NW. Sea smooth or slight, only in the southern part of the Adriatic still up to moderate. Mostly clear.
