LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL AND IN THE AFTERNOON IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC AS WELL, UP TO 55 KNOTS, EASING DURING THE NIGHT. FOG PATCHES IN THE OPEN OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC THIS MORNING.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 12-22, in the Velebit Channel, from midday in the extreme south of the Adriatic as well, up to 28 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open 3-4. Visibility above 20 km, but in the open of the North Adriatic mist and fog in places this morning. Mostly clear.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

NE winds gradually easing and dying away, most lately in the extreme south of the Adriatic. Sea smooth or slight, in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to moderate, but calming later on. Mostly clear with mist in places of the North Adriatic.
