SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the northeast.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 12-24, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to 30 knots. Sea 2-3, in the Velebit Channel and in the open of the South Adriatic, toward the Strait of Otranto, 3-4. Visibility 20-30 km. Mostly clear with some passing cloud toward the open sea.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic up to near gale force, NE winds, easing tomorrow morning. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South Adriatic, toward the Strait of Otranto, up to moderate. Mostly clear, but in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic passing variable cloud. Air temperatures a little lower.
