SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is stationary over the Adriatic while a trough over western Mediterranean is becoming deeper.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 4-14 knots. Locally in the North and in the extreme south of the Adriatic NE wind up to 22 knots, temporarily diminishing a little and in the evening reinforcing again, in the Velebit Channel up to 28 knots. In the open sea NW wind gradually reinforcing to 10-20 knots. Sea 2-3, locally in the open of the South Adriatic and at the foot of Velebit 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km, at night locally in the open of the North Adriatic possible to be reduced to less than 1 km due to fog. Moderate cloudiness in places.

Light to moderate, in the North and in the extreme south of the Adriatic fresh NE wind, locally at the foot of Velebit also of near gale force. Towards the open sea fresh NW wind.
