LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WIND 35-45, STILL TODAY LOCALLY UP TO 55 KNOTS AND SEA 5 LOCALLY IN THE OPEN OF THE SOUTH AND OF A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC. AT NIGHT AND IN THE MORNING A CHANCE OF FOG IN THE EXTREME NORTH OF THE ADRIATIC, ALONG THE ITALIAN COAST.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is stationary over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE wind 12-26 knots, locally up to 30, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic and locally in the Velebit Channel up to 34 knots, in the evening diminishing first in the North Adriatic and in the open turning to NW wind. Sea 3-4, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic 4-5. Visibility more than 20 km, in the evening in the extreme north of the Adriatic, along the Italian coast possibly reduced to less than 1 km due to fog. Mostly clear.

Strong and near gale NE wind diminishing and towards the open sea turning to fresh NW wind. Tomorrow toward midday light to moderate NE, fresh only still in the extreme south of the Adriatic and locally in the Velebit Channel. Sea slight and moderate. Cloud increase forenoon.
