IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 55 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the north toward the Adriatic, while a low over the western Mediterranean will be shifting slowly toward the Tyrrhenian Sea.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 4-14, in the North Adriatic up to 18, and in the Velebit Channel up to 24 knots. Late in the day and during the night wind will strengthen to 8-18, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic to 12-24 and in the Velebit Channel up to 32 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing toward the open sea and in the Velebit Channel during the night to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force, NE winds, turning in the rest of the Adriatic to E, toward the open sea to up to fresh SE. Sea slight and moderate. Variably cloudy. Rain in expected mainly in the open sea.
